and I could not be happier!

I wrote an article about it on my blog. If you're interested in doing the same, I'm happy to offer advice and answer questions!

Re: Tips you would give Linux newbies

I've been using Linux as a daily driver for 11 years now, so I am quite out of touch with what a newbie would be running into, since things have improved dramatically on the desktop scene in that time. Re: Luanti (open source Minecraft)

Yes, Luanti (formerly Minetest) is an engine before it is a game. The base game is called "Minetest game" and is basically there as a proof of concept for the core engine. It is meant to be modded or completely replaced, hence the Minecraft clones like Voxelibre.

Re: Luanti (open source Minecraft)

Hero of Law - a Legend of Zelda / Phoenix Wright crossover rom hack!

Hero of Law is a crossover mod for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time that puts Link into the shoes of a defence attorney!

The first step is intellectual honesty: don't be so sure that the other person is wrong. You can be mistaken, too. Starting from that perspective should disarm your immediate emotional reaction to someone stating something you don't think is true. You should orient yourself with the goal that ...

Re: How to leave Discord behind?

Is there a reason you can't use Signal? That's probably the lowest-friction option. I have been searching for a better option but haven't really found one so far.

I will say as an active IRC user that IRC is probably unfit for your purposes. It is really not designed for asynchronous communication ...

Re: Not sure if I should switch to a dumbphone

I should also say that the main reason I switched is because my phone was long out of software support, so I consider it a ticking time bomb from a security perspective. A great reason to switch to a dumb phone is to not have to worry about that. Regular calls and SMS are sent in the clear, so there ...
