Hello! I came here to share my love for NextDNS, a custom DNS service I've been using for months to block every ad and tracker on every app on every device I have. Yes, really all of them, except YouTube ads which can't be blocks by a DNS.
The service is free for enough traffic for one or two devices depending on your usage, but I've paid for the pro plan, which is only a few bucks a month.
Their website has easy to follow instructions on how to add the DNS to any device, here: https://nextdns.io/
And you can even use it without making an account. (at least at first, but I made one to set custom ad blockers and stuff)
Thanks for coming to my tech talk.

Re: NextDNS!
I use AdGuard Home for DNS-level ad blocking. It's open source. The main disadvantage would be that it's tricky to make it work outside the LAN (say from your smartphone on cell data), but I don't browse the web on my phone, so it isn't an issue.
